My name is Nicolas Pančo and I was born in Rožňava, Slovakia. After graduating from the Secondary Art School in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, I moved to Switzerland where my closest family also lives.
About my art: I have been involved in art since childhood, although I have also engaged in other activities. I have always been drawn to drawing, and later I discovered a passion for painting, sculpture, and various graphic techniques such as linocut, drypoint, and monotype. In my work, I most often focus on the figure and landscape, often combining these elements. However, this does not mean that I avoid other subjects. My sketchbooks are full of portraits, caricatures, plants, animals, and experiments with numbers and letters. I like to change my approach to art in order to constantly develop my creativity. That's why I often work on series where I set certain limitations, such as format, theme, or formal elements. I can work on a series for several months, a year, or even longer - it depends on the complexity and my inspiration. I usually work on several projects at once and alternate between different techniques. I take time to think deeply about a topic and then return to it with a fresh perspective. I create primarily for my own satisfaction, but I am happy if my work finds its admirers.
